  C L A R I T Y  G R A D E S
Clarity refers to the presence of internal features such as crystal irregularities, breaks or foreign bodies, called inclusions, and to external imperfections such as scratches, small nicks and chips, called blemishes. Both of these will lower the clarity grade and thus the value of the diamond.
